Going underground...

I also love dogs, all the nature, dancing, writing, travel, and connecting with people from different backgrounds.

My life is a dovetailing of the deeply personal and the larger systems within which we are embedded. After years of providing various kinds of environmental and outdoor education, and then more years of personal and masters level research around the roots of our collective insanity, life swung me around and pointed back inside of us and inside myself.

I've worked as a therapist since 2013, been trained in a number of approaches, but nothing has been more powerful than learning how to work with my own emotions, my own mind, and allow me to see the extent to which personal transformation is possible. I tell my clients all the time that I will never ask them to do something, to walk a path, that I myself don't have the capacity to walk. Knowing on a very personal level the nuances and challenges of working with your own nervous system, the courage it takes to turn inward and face your own mind, your pain, your history, has been the most effective training I've received.
